"Honesty, integrity and hard work are mandatory in the real estate profession."
Sarah believes that the basic moral qualities of honesty, integrity, and hard work are mandatory in the real estate profession. These are the same qualities that she embodied and taught her students during her 5-year tenure as a teacher at High Lakes Elementary School in Bend, OR. Her teaching career has spanned nearly two decades and includes experience in the Silicon Valley, as well as, Bend- La Pine School District. Sarah’s commitment to children and the community she serves are very important to her. She has volunteered and served on the board of the local chapter of Girls on the Run. Additionally, she supports the Deschutes Children’s Foundation and volunteers in local classrooms.
By joining The Ladd Group, Sarah is fulfilling her longtime goal of creating a real estate brokerage that echoes Bend’s rich real estate history while also embracing the area's outdoor based culture. Prior to moving to Oregon, Sarah began her real estate career with Alain Pinel Realtors in Saratoga, CA. She then became a founding member of Intero Real Estate Los Gatos in 2003 where she was a top producer and contributor to new agent training.
A native of northern California, Sarah has always had a passion for real estate, especially residential development. Her grandfather and father were both builders and developers in the town she grew up in. She always felt a sense of pride knowing that her family contributed to the community’s housing in a meaningful way. With a desire to make a positive difference in the lives of children, Sarah earned a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and Education from University of California, Davis. She then went on to receive a teaching credential in California and Oregon.
Outside of her commitments at The Ladd Group, Sarah enjoys participating in marathons and completed Portland Marathon in 2013. One of her long-term fitness goals is to complete a marathon in each of her favorite cities in the US and hopes to challenge herself one day at the Boston Marathon. Sarah lives in Bend with her husband, Brian, and daughters, Ella and Abigail.
