Experience Bend 101: Learn, Connect, and Shape the Future of Bend

There’s a reason people talk about Bend, Oregon with a certain reverence. Known as a premier hub for outdoor adventure, it’s a place where you can ski fresh powder in the morning, paddle the Deschutes River in the afternoon, and finish the day with a pint from one of Bend’s 30+ craft breweries. But what makes Bend truly special isn’t just its trails, rivers, or mountains—it’s the community values of collaboration, inclusivity, and stewardship that carry over from the outdoors into everyday life.

That’s the same spirit you’ll find at Bend 101, happening October 7 from 5–7 p.m. at Edward J Ray Hall. This welcoming event is designed for both new residents and long-time locals who want to better understand Bend’s growth and get involved in shaping its future. The evening will feature highlights from the City of Bend’s Growth Plan, a panel of local leaders, and interactive discussions on the challenges and opportunities that come with rapid change.

Bend 101 isn’t just about information—it’s about connection. With bites, beverages, and plenty of time to engage with neighbors, it’s a chance to learn, belong, and play a role in building the kind of future Bend deserves.

Save the date — October 7 — and join us for Bend 101. Together, let’s ensure Bend’s growth stays intentional and true to its character.
