    In the 2016 ranking of gross domestic product (GDP) growth nationally for metros with populations
    below two million, the Bend-Redmond metropolitan statistical area (MSA) is tied for first.
    Bend/Redmond’s growth rate of 8.1% ($8.2 billion) shares the top spot with Lake Charles, LA.
